Welcome to my website

I have been based in Warwickshire and am qualified in upholstery (both traditional and modern) and all aspects of soft furnishings.

I have been teaching since 2005. My classes are suitable for all abilities, from complete beginners through to those who want to fine tune their skills in a friendly and encouraging environment.

Bring your own projects along to transform them into something wonderful. You will be amazed at what you can achieve!

However, in September 2024 I am relocating to Wales.

My intention is to set up classes again as soon as it is practicable. But in the meantime please look through my website as it shows the type of class I have been running along with a gallery of students' work.

Please don't hesitate to contact me on either my email or phone if you would like any further information.

Testimonials

A gifted teacher with a deep practical knowledge

For the last 7 years I have greatly enjoyed attending Lynda’s classes. She is a gifted teacher with a deep practical knowledge of all aspects of upholstery and soft furnishing. Whatever your level of prior knowledge Lynda will give excellent one-to-one support. Her main specialism is traditional furniture but she can work with more modern foam pieces as well as split cane, rush etc. Lynda provides all the necessary tools and materials (at reasonable cost).

The classes are convivial and enjoyable and other students will always support less experienced students. I have made a number of lasting friendships at these classes and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Everyone has the time and guidance they need

I never imagined that my move from Australia would lead me to Linda’s upholstery workshops in Napton. Having never attempted anything like it before, I very nervously attended my first workshop some months ago. Lynda made me feel welcomed and guided me through my first project. Imparting her extensive knowledge, skills and patience Lynda has now assisted with a further three projects, each progressing in complexity. Time is taken to demonstrate and ensure that you understand what is to be done and why.

The size and format of the workshops mean that everyone has the time and guidance they need and that a good amount of progress can be achieved resulting in a sense of accomplishment at the days end. It also provides a forum with insights into fellow enthusiast’s projects, challenges and inspirations. Nothing is too small, too large or even too unusual to become a completed project.

Lynda’s passion for her craft is inspirational and has given me the confidence to further develop my skills in this wonderful world – I am addicted!

Learn the traditional upholstery techniques needed

The workshops are full days of great one to one tuitions from Lynda ,which enabled me to understand and learn thoroughly the traditional upholstery techniques that I needed. The workshops I have attended allowed me to make good progress with my projects, from working on a variety of pieces in the classes I now feel confident in reupholstering pieces at home.

Lynda caters for all levels

I have been going to Lynda’s upholstery and soft furnishings courses for the past two years and I enjoy them very much as they are both educational and entertaining at the same time. Lynda is a very patient teacher and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the course. Whether you are a beginner, more experienced or a professional, Lynda caters for all levels. Also, the venue in Napton is lovely and during the breaks it’s nice to have a chat with a like minded people over a cup of tea.

Lynda had great patience with my many mistakes

Having attended the all day upholstery session at Napton many times, I would thoroughly recommend it. Being there all day allows you to really get into whatever project you are working on and by the end of it you feel like you’ve made great progress. Lynda explains everything very clearly, is always on hand to talk you though every stage of the upholstery process and has had great patience with my many mistakes. When I first started attending, I had never done any upholstery before and now two and a half years later, I feel I have come a long way. The facilities are also excellent, with plenty of space, many tools and tea and biscuits provided in a lovely atmosphere. Despite it being a full day, time flies by.

You won’t regret making that call to come along to a class.

Do you have that favourite chair which is in need of some TLC? Are you thinking if only I had the skills to do something with that chair? Well you have. I have been going to Lynda’s classes for some time now and have seen countless people arrive with a treasured piece and take great pleasure in learning how to restore it so that it has its life extended, and end up having learnt skills and having done a piece of work which can take pride of place in their home.

You won’t regret making that call to come along to a class.

Both enjoyable and productive

I started attending Lynda Eadon’s upholstery workshops as a beginner wishing to learn a new skill. I have now completed a range of projects covering a number of techniques. Lynda has a wide experience of teaching both re-upholstery and making soft furnishings. I have found the workshops to be both enjoyable and productive, meeting other people with similar interests. I would highly recommend these workshops to anyone wishing to develop their skills in these areas.
